Grandmothers Are Really for Loving


The University of Florida has done a study on children cared for only by their grandparents, particularly by grandmothers. Some grandmothers are still struggling to maintain their psychological stress as they try to balance paying the bills to caring for the children. While the U.S. Census data show that nearly 5.5 million children under age 18 currently live solely with their grandparents, it shows that some family structures are different, but that caretakers, like hard-working grandmothers, are still trying their best to give children a better life. These grandmothers are worthy of high praise and admiration for their committment to giving their grandchildren the most positive living environment with the meager resources they have, even as older age makes certain tasks a little more daunting than usual.
